Word of The Week
Word of the Week is a voluntary activity through our library in which all of the students can choose to participate. Each classroom teacher provides a weekly word. Students must be able to spell the word, provide a definition and use the word in two sentences. Each Wednesday during library time, all of the participating students' names are put into a drawing. One winning name is drawn from each class, and the winning student is allowed to choose a prize.
In addition to Word of the Week, there is a monthly coloring contest. One winning picture is chosen from each class each month.
